It's crucial to note that during flattening, you're effectively "kicking" the diamonds out of the resin, resulting in the need for a robust lapping plate (stone fixer).

The Diamond Resin Plates are great for sharpening! Start with the 100 µm and use them incrimentaly all the way to the 1 µm which will leave a near mirror polish on the toughest of steels.

The 1 micron resin will leave a near mirror polish on the toughest of steels. Watch out  powder metals! The 100 micron resin is a thinning machine. All the sizes in between are stepping stones.
